The Kenwood 700C belongs to the original Supreme series of separate components. These were highly exclusive, special-order statement products from Kenwood in the 1970s. The 700C serves as the preamp in the 700X set, which also includes the 700M power amplifier and the 700T Tuner.

The 700C is among the finest sounding preamps we've encountered, though they are regrettably very rare, and few have experienced a fully restored one. The internal circuit design is exceptional, and the unit is heavier than most integrated amplifiers. The unit we are showcasing was recovered with a damaged faceplate, which we was repaired and reanodized in black.
